A Bank Holiday Outing

The small boy proposed a hearty breakfast at the garden centre café, and everyone was game except for his older brother, who needed to stay home and study for a physics exam.  I tossed the wee one's wellies into the car, and after breakfast and an extended browse (because garden centers in these parts have everything*), we headed to the nearby beach.

 There were the usual treasures.

I sat here and watched the waves for a while.

It was a gorgeous spring day.

*The chefs found a cookbook and some cookie cutters they couldn't live without, and a(n unsuccessful) case was made for purchasing a hamster.

  1. It's hard to know where to even begin with that post! I mean, first off, when you can put "garden center" and "cafe" together as one locale, I've already lost my mind with envy. Those photos! Those views!! *swoon*

  3. Wow, what a place to take a seat and watch the sea come rolling in, a fabulous view.
I hope the cookie cutters have their first use very soon!

Hiya, and welcome! I know that with the proliferation of social media, it's not like the olden days of blogging, when we all spent loads of time hanging out in each other's comment boxes. And I know it's a drag to type anything more than a quick sentence on a smart phone. So THANK YOU for taking the time to say something here (and for visiting in the first place). I will always respond to you directly via email, if you supply an address.
